David Jordan BDS.,DGDP(UK).,Dip.Cons.Sed
David Jordan qualified from Queen’s University Belfast Dental School in 1978. He worked for a year as a community clinical dental officer for the SHSSB (Southern Health and Social Services board) in Banbridge, before leaving to take up a position in general dental practice in Southampton.
After a period in a dental practice in Romsey, Hampshire, he returned home to Belfast to set up his own dental practice in September 1983. As the practice grew, he became involved in the training of dental nurses at Rupert Stanley College of Further Education, subsequently renamed, Belfast Institute of Further & Higher Education (BIFHE), and Belfast Metropolitan College ( Belfast Met). He also worked part-time in the School of Dentistry.
The Jordan Dental Care practice relocated to its present location in 1988, when the practice was approved as a training practice for the Northern Ireland Vocational Training Scheme in General Practice for recently qualified dentists. David has enjoyed the experience of mentoring and assisting many new graduates integrate into general dental practice.
Having a keen interest in treating anxious patients, David trained in Newcastle University obtaining a Diploma in Conscious Sedation in Dentistry in 2005
David is an active member of the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses, examining in both the National, and Conscious Sedation Certificates.
David’s particular interests in dentistry are cosmetics and sedation.
David is married with two daughters.
Philip Mason BDS.
Philip Mason qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 1988, and joined the newly relocated dental practice as a Vocational Dental Practitioner. After completing a year of training in the management and running of a general practice in the NHS, Philip has remained, working as an associate in the Jordan Dental Care practice to the present day.
Philip is married with three daughters and a son.
John Black BDS.
John Black qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 1998. He completed his vocational training year at Jordan Dental and has been with the practice since. John is married and has three children, Harmony and Jude and Seth.
John believes in providing high quality dentistry in a relaxed and friendly manner. This has led him to continually develop his skills throughout his career. John is certified in the use of the Inman aligner® to straighten crowded front teeth in only 6-16 weeks and Clearstep® invisible braces. He has completed the S.A.A.D. conscious sedation course to help treat nervous patients.
Ali White is our longest serving dental nurse, having been with the practice for eleven years, joining the team after completing the full time course in dental nursing at BIFHE in May 2000 and passing her National Certificate in Dental Nursing examination in the summer of 2001. She has gone on to gain further certification in Dental Sedation Nursing, Radiology and Oral Health Education and is GDC registered. She now works part-time, having a three year old daughter, Emma.
Sarah Harrison joined the practice approximately nine years ago, having completed the National Certificate course in Dental Nursing at BIFHE, obtaining her National Certificate thus becoming GDC registered. She has completed training in sedation nursing. Sarah works part-time having daughter aged two, who she called Vivyana.
Kelly Campbell has been with the practice for eight years, but has worked for seventeen years as a dental nurse and is GDC registered. Kelly will shortly be returning from maternity leave, having had a baby girl, Sophia, and more recently a baby boy, Luke.
Jennifer Ramsey joined the team in 2008. After studying dental nursing at Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education, BIFHE, she passed her National Certificate in dental nursing in July 2003. Jennifer then went on to study for her dental sedation nursing examination, which she passed in March 2010. She is GDC registered. Jennifer has returned to work part-time, having had a baby boy, named Charlie.
Janelies McCrory joined the team at Jordan Dental in January 2010. She completed the training course for the National Certificate in dental nursing at Belfast Metropolitan College and passed her National examination in May 2011. She is continuing with her training in other aspects of dental nursing, and will shortly be siting the examination, for the Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing.
IzabelaFekner joined the team at Jordan Dental in May 2010. She completed the training course for the National Certificate in dental nursing at Belfast Metropolitan College and passed her National examination in May 201o and is GDC registered. She has continued with her training in other aspects of dental nursing, gaining the Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing and Dental Radiography.
Emily Jordan joined the practice in June 2012, deciding on a career change after several years in retail. She is attending Belfast Metropolitan College evening classes with the intention of sitting the National Diploma examination for Dental Nursing in May 2013.
