Areas around the nose and mouth are particularly prone to creasing as we get older. These areas can be softened by injecting a gel like product containing Hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring product that “plumps up” the tissues and rejuvenates appearance. This is done after the application of a surface local anaesthetic. The effects can last 6-12 months depending on the amount and type of product used.
